Are you Suffering from Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS)?

Around 80% of all concussions will be completely healed within a month without requiring any treatment. However, a small percentage of people will be affected by a medical condition called Post Concussive Syndrome (PCS).

Your eye movements and vision can be affected by PCS.

Your eyes work hard on a daily basis to follow moving targets. A healthy pair of eyes will be able to follow a moving object smoothly. However, when this smooth following of an object fails, your eyes will fall off the target.

To correct this error, your eyes will jump quickly to catch up with the moving object, therefore, the movement of following an object is no longer smooth.

Making lots of these jumps due to an error in the smooth following will make you feel disorientated and confused.

symptoms of PCS - blurred vision, nausea, dizziness, POTS, light and sound sensitivity, headaches
POTS – postural orthostatic tachycardia
