Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of talk therapy that helps people to identify and change their negative thoughts and behaviours. In doing so, CBT helps you to develop better coping skills for dealing with both mental and physical health problems. CBT teaches those suffering from pain how to recognise and prevent psychologically distressing thoughts that make their pain more difficult to handle. By being able to rationally dispute catastrophic thinking, CBT helps you to gain a more realistic appraisal of your current condition, putting the discomfort into a better context and making the pain much more manageable.

Additionally, CBT can also change the physical response in the brain that makes the pain worse. As stress caused by pain can affect chemicals in the brain such as norepinephrine and serotonin, decreasing stress through CBT can aid in improving the body’s natural pain relief response.

CBT can be used to address not only pain but also a wide variety of mental health problems including anxiety, depression, panic, phobias (including agoraphobia and social phobia), stress, bulimia, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and psychosis.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis to help bring about positive changes in thoughts, feelings or behaviour. Using the power of suggestion, our trained hypnotherapists will help you to think about experiences and situations in positive ways that can help you change the way you think and behave.

Unlike some dramatic portrayals of hypnosis in movies, books, or on stage, you will not be unconscious, asleep, or in any way out of control of yourself. You will hear the therapist’s suggestions, but it is up to you to decide whether or not to act on them.
We primarily offer hypnotherapy for the treatment of chronic pain, however it can also be used to help curb unwanted habits such as smoking, overeating and sleep disorders.
Hypnotherapy has also been shown to help with mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and grief.

Kamkus Mind-Body Harmonics

Kamkus Mind-Body Harmonics therapy is a revolutionary new treatment developed by Dr Diwakar Sukul, based on the principles of energy psychology.

This treatment involves a comprehensive assessment of the relationship between negative thoughts and the flow of energy throughout the body. Through the use of body tapping, this holistic approach helps release energy disturbances caused by thoughts related to pain, anxiety, fear or sadness.

Kamkus Mind-Body Harmonics can help with a wide range of problems, such as pain
management, addiction, phobias and mental health issues such as anxiety, panic,
